The disposal of waste tyre become an ecological issue around the world. The use of recycled tyre rubber as partial aggregate in concrete has great potential to positively affect the properties of concrete. An experimental study is conducted to analyze the behavior characteristics of rubberized concrete where tyre rubber is partially replaced with fine aggregates. The aim of investigations is to study the deformation properties of cement concrete with rubber waste as additives. The strength characteristics of concrete is to be determined by partially replacing the fine aggregate with waste rubber. The concrete cubes are casted, cured & tested for identifying the 7 days & 28 days strength with various percentage of rubber pieces replacing the fine aggregates. Replacement percentage of fine aggregates by crumb rubber were taken as 0%, 1%, 3%, 5% & 7%. The specimens where casted, cured & tested in contrast to mechanical & durability properties as per IS specifications. Mechanical properties like compressive strength, tensile strength of concrete is tested. M25 grade concrete has been chosen as the concrete reference specimen. Crumb rubber not only allow the sustainable use of aggregates available to us but also provide an effective and mass management of rubber tyre waste. Further research is needed to optimize the mixture proportions & evaluate long term performance in real world application. Keywords: Crumb Rubber, Rubberized Concrete
