Description

In the world high performance shoes are used by athletes and sportsman. They require enough traction
on the field and stability in performing quick movements. On designing such shoes there are various
factors to be considered to get maximum performance.
Stud length and stud geometry is the key factor to be considered while designing such shoes for
athletes. Throughout the history, most of the injuries of athletes are because of improper design of
shoes with stud design to blame. Different stud geometries affect the performance and
maneuverability on artificial ground in different ways. Some even cause injuries in the long use.
So it is necessary to bring a new design of stud exclusively for next generation artificial turf. The
project is concerned with a quantitative and qualitative study of earlier stud designs on such grounds
to introduce a new design which can provide maximum performance with no risk of injuries.
