The college is just a few kilometers away from Uruvachal Junction on the Thalassery- Coorg National Highway. Thalassery is the nearest railway station which is 25 kilo meters away only. When the Mattannur Airport starts to operated, it is only 4 KMs away from the college. The college has a salubrious atmosphere. It is situated in a vast serene environment which has captivating greenery with flower and fruit gardens.

The college has in its neighborhood many places of historical and tourist importance. The Thalassery fort, St Angelo’s Fort, Kannur; Arakkal Museum and Gundert Bunglow, Thalassery are historically significant places. The Pazhassi dam near Mattannur, Payyambalam beach, Muzhapilangad-the longest drive-in beach in Asia, the Snake park at Parassinikadavu, Houseboating at Neeleshwar, Paithal Mala, Aralam Wild Life are only some of the tourist sports around the college. The renowned Thayampaka artist Sankarankutty also hails from Mattannur.
