PUNARJANI

As a part of Punarjani project NSS volunteers have visited Peravoor Taluk Hospital and they did many maintenance works in hospital such as repairing of hospital equipment, plumbing, wiring and revamping of coats and wheel chair.

INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY

International women’s day was celebrated in the campus on 8 th march. It was inaugurated by Adv. Smitha C and she made a talk on women’s safety and laws related to women. A rally was conducted as part of women’s day from Nelluni to Mattannur.

NSS SPECIAL CAMP

NSS seven day special camp was conducted between 27th December 2016 and 2nd January 2017. The camp was inaugurated by Sri. Urumani Manoj (Education Standing Committee Chairman, Maloor Panchayath). The camp validatory function was inaugurated by Sri. Bhaskaran K (Chairman, Mattannur Municipality).

BLOOD DONATION CAMP

As the part of national blood donation day (October 1) and “Manaviyam-16” our St Thomas College of Engineering and Technology had conducted blood donation camp on October 6 th 2016. The camp was inaugurated by Sunil Kumar (CI, Peravoor). Dr. Shahida KV (Head of blood bank, Kannur) has made a talk on “Importance of blood donation.”

FUNDRAISE

NSS has collected an amount of 25000 for a kidney failure patient and handed over the amount to Kairali charitable trust

Swachh Bharat Pakhwada

As a part of Swachh Bharat Pakhwada NSS volunteers visited Sivapuram LP School and cleaned school premises. They have also helped the authorities to form a garden in the campus.

Yoga Day

Yoga day was celebrated in college campus on 21st June. It was inaugurated by acting Principal Prof. Roy Thomas, he demonstrated some asanas to the staff and students. Also some important scientific aspects of yoga and meditation were discussed.

N DART

Five students from St Thomas College of Engineering and Technology, Kannur attended three day N DART workshop at Thrissur.

Anti liquor and anti drug students club

St Thomas College of Engineering & Technology in association with excise division, Mattanur formed an anti liquor and anti drug students club. It was inaugurated by Shri Vijesh A K, excise inspector of Mattanur.
